My son plays pee wee football and the season is over. The seasons are very intense-practice 3 times a week, games every weekend, many times away, I mean away like 2 hours away, and then we are required to volunteer. It’s the Bay Area so I mind traveling most of the time because we get the chance to visit places like Half Moon Bay or San Jose where we will usually end up having dinner there and site seeing. And the volunteering is fun, usually. Oh, I’m getting off subject. Sorry, I love football season.
Anyway, his season is over and this last weekend was the first one in a few of months we didn’t need to chug his football butt here or there, it was time to RELAX! Just for one weekend. Nothing planned, just the family and their electronics. I didn’t plan it that way, it just happen. Usually I hate weekends like that, so unproductive as a family and as people but we were braindead and too relaxed to get up. Did I tell you it rained too? Really, the first hard rain of the season always makes you want a fire in the fireplace and AOS (ass on sofa). We did what Mother Nature intended us to do. (I need to get to my point, don’t I?)
So I too sat in front of my laptop and studied. I studied niche sites with Pat Flynn and Tyrone Shum, two great guys with awesome blogs! And I am also reading a book called Moonlighting on the Internet by Yanik Silver. I haven’t been to his blog yet, I try to stick with one source or subject at a time so I don’t get side tracked.
I also made a video with my iPhone, just to play around with the concept of putting videos on my blog. It is less than a minute long and I used Vintage Maker for your iPhone to create it. What fun!
Did you see my dog? She is always there, right there, by my side, sleeping. And my notebook full of notes for blogging, niche sites, Word Press, affiliate marketing etc….you get the idea. It is a child’s notebook, does it need to be more professional? I don’t think so! Given, if I were to present myself in a professional manner like in an interview I wouldn’t dare walk in with that notebook. But I am the only one viewing it so I try to have fun with my notes.
I learned so much! So much brain usage that when Monday morning rolled around I was drained. I didn’t get to tweet, ok, one tweet about the Chargers winning!! I didn’t even type my blog’s address or open my email. I was wiped out!
I am here catching up. It’s not easy catching up after 3 days away from the internet. The internet moves so fast and will just leave you behind. Yet that is what I also love about the internet, the quickness, not the leaving behind part.
Moral of the story? I don’t know. I was just trying to justify not working yesterday to my readers but actually more to myself.
Have a great day…leave me some love.

Allie, that video was soooo stinkin cute! Loved the wiggle of your toes. Too cute! I’m going to have to experiment with video too. I like the fact that you are keeping a note book for your ideas. I tried that, but I honestly think that I’ve forgotten how to write. LOLOL I really need a laptop to keep my ideas on. But that won’t come until I can make money on my websites. Which won’t take place until I’ve done all of the research needed to get it kicked off. Which won’t happen until I get a notebook and write it all down. Yeah…it goes on and on. LOLOL

Thanks! I love my iPhone!!! So much! It is my little hub for catching up and capturing silly moments on the fly. I have gotten so many great photos and videos I normally wouldn’t if I didn’t have that phone. I also LOVE it because I get t o express myself a little bit through video and photos and then trasforming them with apps I get, usually for free. The Vintage Maker app was not free, $2 maybe, but all worth the fun with the kids!
Yea Allie! I saw your coffee mug and the cute little heater underneath (that’s right, huh?) – wish we had these little things here. Nice video & to see your working space. I am gonna buy a new photo camera that will have some video capabilities…. maybe I’ll try my hand at it some time

Hey Fenny,
That video was made with my iPhone and an app. It is really fun! I let my kids make “old time” silent videos and they laugh so hard!
And you remembered I like my coffee hot. The holder is just a candle warmer, I think I bought it at a home store. They’ve got to have candle warmers there. ??? It helps my coffee stay hotter a little longer, the I don’t have to nuke it, lol. (I know how you hate that. Hee hee.)
