“Helping WAHMs get noticed online and build a stronger foundation for their businesses and brands.”
I’m Allie. I’m the workhorse behind Ramblings of a WAHM.
I found myself 15 years ago making the leap to becoming a SAHM. I loved who I was and what I was doing but there was just something more. So in 2010 I came online to blog. I soon found myself working online in blogging, social media and email marketing.
This journey into becoming a WAHM or mompreneur has not been easy. That is why I have dedicated my blog and time to helping other moms with their businesses.
I love to help other WAHMs build their mom empires online. I know the road is tough and long and confusing at times. And even lonely. It does not need to be.
Read on for my background:
~Once Upon a Time, a WAHM is Born~
I started life near Los Angeles, CA and had a pretty cool childhood. At 18, I enrolled at the University of San Diego for 2 years and then finished out my bachelor’s at University of CA, San Diego with a degree in Anthropology (a social science). I pursued a career as a CA Park Ranger in my early 20′s. Yet life had other things in mind for me, a baby. My son was born in 1998 and a daughter soon after in 2000. Oh, I forgot to mention, during my senior year of college I met a sailor and eloped with him to Las Vegas? We live today (18 years later), with their 2 youth sucking children and a prima donna dog in the Bay Area.
I have had a few odd jobs yet always hated all of them (no, I’m not a slacker). Being a stay at home mom had created a spoiled by her husband, Starbucks loving, selfish with her time, iPhone needing, SUV driving, homework helping, wife and mother. God forbid I work! (LOL! I was spoiled!) Well, the time had come to bring in an income. And, not to mention I had the urge to just do more for ME.
Branding my degree in one hand and years of self depriving volunteering (PTA, Scouts, environment) in the other hand I thought real hard about a career. I thought REALLY hard. REALLY HARD! Nothing.
Lucky for me, my darling, IT Geek husband bought the passive income manifesto, “The Four Hour Workweek” by Timothy Ferriss. “Whoo hoo!” I found my calling I thought. “I will blog!” (The book is not about blogging but about becoming the entrepreneur you have always wanted to be.)
~My Mission Statement~
RWAHM started back in September 2010 with no money. (Ok, a little because I had to buy the registration for my site and hosting.) My objective is to learn online income through blogging and other online platforms, earn an income, AND to share what I know with my readers. I became a WAHM.
But most of all to help you become online social media, blogging, email marketing superstars.
As always, I am grateful for everyone who visits my blog and leaves a comment. You are the life blood of Ramblings of a WAHM. Thank you.
I am all over the web but mostly here:

I need to revamp my website – actually I need a new one I have a couple of blogs but really have not found a way to use them to my advantage. It is nice to meet you Allie – my name is Tamara but I go by Tee. I would love to hear and read everything you have to offer me. I am new to the whole WAHM thing.
