It’s official.
I am now a member of the Sisterhood of World Bloggers.
Receiving this award tells me there are readers of my blog that actually like what I am saying or doing. So I thank Sonia from LogAllot and Julie from Learn, Grow and Prosper, for bestowing me this honor and letting me know someone likes me online.
I am going to take this opportunity to make a video using the newly discovered to me Animoto.
Yet before I show my super duper video all about Allie, let’s go over the rules of the Sisterhood of World Bloggers Award. (There are always rules, aren’t there? Bah!)
- Recipients need to thank the giver
- Post 7 things about yourself
- Pass the award on to 7 other bloggers of your choice and let them know they’ve been nominated
- Include the logo of the award in a post or on your blog
Those aren’t hard at all.
Let’s commence the sharing of the video.
7 Things About Allie
And I nominate:
Ana from Traffic Generation Cafe for teaching me SEO.
Melody from Starbucks Mel for her coffee talk.
Annie from Practical Adventure-ology for showing me I can live abroad with my family.
Angie from Work at Home Wife for her help with work at home business.
Hajra from Hajra Kvetches for being my online buddy.
TerriAnn from Cookies and Clogs for keeping me up on things to do in the Bay Area.
Alaska Chick from Alaska Chick blog for showing me chicks can do anything a man can.
Do you know how hard it is to narrow down the nominees to just 7??!! I could probably list 100! But I guess I’ll follow the rules.
Have a great day!!

Hey Allie!
Congrats and thanks so very much! You just turned my very crappy day into an awesome one!
Harleena has given this to me some time back but I still haven’t reciprocated the gesture! Will surely do it some time soon!
And yes, we do share things in common – the love for flip flops (I have more than 5 pair of them!), burger love and the desire to explore new places!
And yes, thank you once again!
Hope you are doing well!

Thanks so much, Allie! You have kept reading for so long, and for that I am truly appreciative.
I wish you the most success online! You deserve it.

Wow Allie,
I’ve just seen the last video you’d done – and I told you then, someone will be calling you to make commercials. That was great! And it was a pleasure to pass the award onto you Allie.
I love wearing my flip-flops as well, they are just so comfortable. Although, where I come from we call them jandals.
Take Care Allie

ALLIE!! How amazing! Congratulations to a wonderful, talented, generous Lady!!
This is such an honor for me. I know, from what I have learned and been taught and had beaten into me, the reason I am here on line is for our business, Pioneer Outfitters. The beaten into me part comes from being told all the friends I have made here online, are null and void because “it (they) have nothing to do with our business and why I am here.”
Hmm… Really? I mean that sincerely, Really? You, and all the people I have come to know, learned from, laughed with…. You have made me a better person, a better boss, a better teacher, a better “web girl”, a better woman.
How can that NOT be a HUGE benefit to our business? How can that not help me to learn what it is I need to learn to make this work for us?
Thank you, Allie, for including me in such a special list from which I have NO DOUBT you could have chosen HUNDREDS better than I. I am humbled and I am incredibly motivated and inspired.
Thank you. With all my heart, I needed this! (I am facing a flooding river and quicksand that I have no choice or option other than to cross. Sigh, I know I can, it just doesn’t make it any easier.)

Allie,
Thank you so much for nominating me.
I loved your video too. Isn’t Animoto amazing? The best part of these awards is we get to learn 7 new things about you.. I never would have pictured you a hamburger eater. There is a great burger place in Belmont California just 1 one mile from my house called “godfathers burger lounge” and another called “jack’s prime” and then in palo alto a place called “the counter”. All three have amazing burgers. We used to go to them quite often. Be warned, they are 10 buck burgers with bacon and crazy topings. Even organic ones too.
ps
Bill, I will nominate you if you like. I think it’s discrimination that men can’t be nominated. We’ll just have to call you Androgynous Billy

Hi Allie,
A warm congratulations to you! Your animoto video was also amazing, though it took me couple of minutes before I actually get to see it (I blame my poor internet, lol)
We have lots of similarities just like what you stated about flip-flops, they’re actually cute and comfy, right? and it doesn’t limit your moves, and I am too having fears with elevated platform, my hands and feet sweat excessively when I am standing in a very high area.
Anyway, more power to you and to your blog.

Congratulations Allie, you’re very deserving of this award as well. Loved the video, how creative you are. I probably could live in flip flops too! Glad you found this fabulous video program, it’s so much fun isn’t it!
Wonderful nominations you’ve presented here as well. Very deserving and I recognize many of these names.
Great job on the post and congratulations again Allie. Now, enjoy your weekend.

Hey Allie,
Congratulations on your award – this is your 2nd one, right?
Nobody ever nominated me for the sisterhood award.
I’ve been checking back here to find out when you wrote your next post a few times, and finally when I return, I find that you are back in the awards again.
I’ll just keep my fingers crossed…
the problem is that ‘brotherhood’ doesn’t quite have the same ring to it
keep rockin’ sister!

I’m a burger fan, too.
There have been periods in my life where I actually ate hamburgers every day.
Two Summers ago, a friend and I went on a “Burger Quest”, where we hunted down the best burgers in our area. We tested more than a dozen places and compared everything from the buns to the meat. The surprise for us was that out of all the places we tried, Cheesecake Factory’s Kobe burger seemed to be the best (except for a few unique places that just really go above and beyond with their burgers.)
