I just found a great resource for new bloggers, business owners and anyone with a trade that would like to market it.
This wonderful resource is called the Successful Blogging in 12 Simple Steps eBook.
Written by trusted blogger and entrepreneur, Annabel Candy, the eBook is a well organized manual that takes you from deciding your topic to getting started to branching out, and everything in between.
I am not a new blogger, but I am an aspiring online entrepreneur. So when I received this eBook I wondered if it could actually help me. It sure did.
For one, I saw my blog in a new light; I saw it through the eyes of a newbie. I was able to take the lessons here and hone in on some skills I forgot or needed to revisit.
And I am not a business owner-yet. Annabel wrote the book with a business point of view in mind. This helped me to see my blog completely different from simply a personal journey but actually a tool for my business.

I reviewed Annabel’s blog for the contest and I must say her blog is very informative. Though I haven’t read her e book as yet; some day maybe! I love how you do three things with one post! And you are very good at the video challenge; your videos are so easy to understand and you speak at just the right speed and clearly!

Well, I did the opposite. I read her book and didn’t explore much of her site yet. The book is just what I say in the video. It is really easy to read, well organized and full of useful information.
Thank you so much for the compliment. This is one video I took more detailed notes to and rehearsed more often so I think it turned out with less “ums”. LOL.
I get nervous making them so I am surprised I don’t rush through and speak faster. I think practicing has helped.

You should make an “um” video. I think many people will relate and have a laugh about. But ultimately, they will thank you for bringing it to their attention.

Successful blogging actually comes from the planning and the successful execution of the information in the blog. Also eah blog is unique therefore it has different needs.

You are right. I found that successful blogs don’t give up. Annabel talks about this in her bonus section.
I also know successful blogs need to have bloggers behind them that like to write. If you don’t like to write, you will give up your blog.

I was gonna ask: Isn’t this book more for people starting out? but you do kind of allude to that at the end of the video.
… because if you recommend something to me I’m gonna check it out because I trust you implicitly.

I would say it is more for beginners. I did receive it free so I did get the opportunity to simply use what I didn’t know, which wasn’t much. I now use it as a check list/reference to be sure I am doing certain things.
Yes, the book may be elementary for you.
I talk to you on a regular basis so if I find a book or anything worth your time and is helpful, I will definitely be suggesting it.

Two things, first great video! Very well done.
Second, love your point about seeing your blog through new eyes. I find that working on a blog everyday can make us blind to some of the most obvious problems. If reading a new ebook helped with that, I’ll have to check it out.

Yes, the book is for beginners and maybe intermediate. I found the ideas for business blogging helpful. I now use the book as a checklist and great reference. Kind of in the same way I use 31 Days to a Better Blog by Darren Rowse. I would say they are around the same level.
