Fairy Hobmother Strikes Again

Have you ever heard of the Fairy Hobmother?  I hadn’t.  But last week I received the most peculiar email from a Matt Mitchell.

I stumbled across your blog and was interested to see you mention the mud run. Dirt and exercise seem more like things to run away from than run into, but then I’m a delicate gossamer thing, and don’t like to get my wings messed up.

Monday Wrap Up: My Blog’s Rank is Climbing

I broke the 1 million mark!  On Alexa my blog broke the 1,000,000 mark!  This doesn’t tell you much except that on November 1, 2010 my rank was 13,000,000. And in one month Ramblings jumped!  What does this mean?  According to Alexa my blog is better than 909,562 blogs out there.  This still doesn’t say much about my blog BUT the fact that it keeps climbing higher.  My goal is to get under 10,000.  I do know some of my favorite bloggers are ranked higher than 10,000 so that is my goal.  I also know this could take months, even years.  For now, I will take my rising rank as motivation to keep going. 

I use 2 ways to rank my blog, Alexa and Google.  Alexa gives a more quick response to your traffic, pageviews and backlinks.  If you keep your blog current and links are coming in,
