How To Get Fast Blog Traffic

If you own a blog, then one of your main concerns with that site is learning how to get blog traffic. If you’re like me, then the faster it comes the better! There are thousands, nay, millions, of blog posts on how to do this or that, and it really aggravates me that none of these really help the reader!

How am I going to benefit from buying someone’s product and promoting it on my site when I can’t come up with the traffic?

Hmm, that does pose a problem!

Without traffic, you’re not making any money. I want to remedy this problem in this post that Allie has allowed me to

Stop Using the Social Media and SEO Crutches: Make Connections Instead

All the rage in blogging and business online right now is to talk about what goals are being set for 2013.  Many are concentrating on social media or SEO goals.  They are analyzing what they believe will happen to social media and SEO in 2013.  I find it a bit obsessive.

I too have been thinking about my online goals.  But I found a different approach.

But, really, why are we so obsessed over 3rd party platforms we have no control over?

What if Google decided to take your blog and

Interest in Pinterest: Bloggers Gone Wild

Pinterest for Bloggers

There is always a debate among bloggers when a new social media site pops up whether or not to join.

Many questions run through our minds, almost simultaneously.

Should I embrace it?

Will it help build traffic to my blog?

Will it gives us an advantage in SEO?

Who is already there that I can get a reference from?

What! I need an invite? Forget it.

I need an invite?  What am I missing out on?

Am I wasting my time?

Is it hard to learn?

How long will this one last?

We bloggers have seen social media sites leave us after we put so much time and effort into them.  I think we all can be slightly jaded.  We want quality coming out way out the pockets of venture capitalists.

When I began blogging I joined just about any and every social media networking -bookmarking -sharing site exists.  I spent weeks finding them all.  What

The Gap Between Social Media and Real Life

Avoiding reality with social media

I partnered with My Blog Guest to acquire this post for a contest they are running.  Thank you Frank for the article.  Please visit MBG for more guest posting opportunities. Is there really a gap between social media and real life?

Yes there is.

How you may ask?  Social media can keep you living in the past, keep you from facing reality, keep you from doing or saying something you should do face to face.  By knowing what and where the gaps are you can realize what needs to be done so hopefully the gaps will close.  You can either ignore the fact there is a gap or do what you can to close the gap, if this is even possible.

Admit It, There is a Gap

There are people who do not want to admit that there is a gap between social media and real life.  There really is a gap between the two.

But just knowing there is a gap isn’t enough.   Knowing what causes the gaps and what actions people

Link Building for My Blog: What I’ve Done and Will Do Now

My Link Building Was a Little Rusty in 2011

In 2011 I thought I could build a ton of links all over the Internet and grow my blog.  Sure my blog grew.  I gained readers, comments and a nice Pagerank of 3.  But honestly, I know I can get more readers than I do.  Do you know why I know I can get more readers?  I was lazy in 2011.  Yep.  I did quantity linking rather than quality linking.

What is Link Building?

Link building the process of leaving a URL link on any other site or blog as to attempt to build numerous routes back to your blog or site so search engines will “see” them and assume you are popular, thus, ranking that URL higher in the search results.

Why Do We Need to Build Links?

Links get you noticed by Google and people; in other words for SEO and social networking.
